This movie was about a group of men from a small village in Uruguay who wanted to go out and see the sea for the first time in their life. Rodriguez, the man who planned the trip to the sea rounded up some friends and drove his truck. His idea was that if you drive slow and take in the scenery then once you get back from the trip you will realize that it was actually a really good trip and experience. By telling your friends about the trip you will look back and be able to remember everything crystal clear. The group that traveled to the sea were quite argumentative and the new friend that they met was along for the ride. He was able to help out with the problems with the truck so they could be able to get to the sea. Once they arrived at the sea they stood at the beach to take in the sight. Everyone was astounded by what they saw.
Overall I liked the concept of this movie. It wasn't exactly an exciting movie but the tale it told was enjoyable. I've been told to take in the scenery on trips because it will make the trip worth the while. Also, the concept of having a new friend join you on a trip can be worth it as well. This story emphasized on the journey to the sea and to get the point across to the people watching it that if you go traveling, take in as much as you can because they will be lasting memories.

I felt that the movie was very different from english/american movies. This was because it didn't have much of a plot to it. there wasn't an actual story. Instead it was just an event. They went to the beach. They had car problems. They ended up making it. The end. You don't see many american movies like that. American movies have a lot of different stuff going on in them. I guess you could call them side stories that parallel the actual story. Over all though I enjoyed watching it and getting a chance to experience something new.
