ReplyDeleteThis movie was very interesting for me. It had a different view point than I'm use to. It showed that the prostitutes have many problems to their jobs. It showed how dangerous their jobs can be. When the girl had to go by two he different names you knew instantly that the girls knew that they had to try and protect themselves. It was really scary when the girl got raped it just proves that the world today is not perfect. This movie made me realize in a way that being a girl one needs to watch themselves and their actions. One wrong mistake can lead to a bad situation.

ReplyDeletePrincesas was a very real movie. It shows the life of a prostitute and how difficult it is. It shows the risks that they take everyday just to make money. Just because they are involved in prostitution doesn’t mean they are bad people. Zule was trying to raise money for her son and mother back home in the Dominican Republic. She resorted to this type of work because she felt like it would be the easiest way to make money. Caye said that this was only temporary work for her while times were hard. They took risks and needed each other so they weren’t hurt even more. Zule was hurt and ended up becoming sick, but that is just a risk of the job. This movie gave a very human point of view on prostitution and shed new light on the subject.
