José Maria is the main character that accidently kills his boss and in his pursuit to get away from the police hides in the house that his girlfriend is the housekeeper. Rosa, Maria’s girlfriend is confused and questioned by the police and her employers but she has no clue what has happened to Maria. I find it crazy that Maria is able to hind for 9 months in the mansion and slowly watch the lives continue without him below. He watches as his girlfriend finds out she is pregnant with his child and then discovers that she is raped by the son of her employers. I liked how Rosa’s rapist in the end got what was coming to him. Also I think that if you could ever focus someone to do something against their will it is just wrong and you do not deserve to live in this world with the rest of civilization.
